Sensory Integration
Sensory integration in occupational therapy refers to the process by which children take in, process, and respond to sensory information from their environment. This concept is key in helping children who may struggle with processing sensory inputs such as sight, sound, touch, taste, smell, balance, and body awareness. When there are challenges in processing these inputs, it can impact their ability to function in daily activities.
